Principle Hospice Service has been my passion since I co-founded it in 2018. My name is Mandy Jerezano, and I am honored to serve as Director of Clinical Operations. In this role, I bring resilience, compassion, and dedication to patient-centered care. Inspired by my mother’s strength in facing Macular Degeneration and Stargardt disease, I lead Principle Hospice Service with faith and empathy.
My Journey in Principle Hospice Service
I started Principle Hospice Service to bring compassionate care to families in need. I was born on January 18, 1975, in Houston, TX, and raised in Newark, CA. My journey has been one of resilience and faith. My mother’s strength in facing blindness was my inspiration. Her values of faith and leadership are ones I carry with me. In fact, they guide me in my work every day at Principle Hospice Service.

Balancing Family, Education, and My Nursing Career
Becoming the first college graduate in my family was challenging. However, I was determined to succeed. After becoming a single parent, I took community college classes at night. During the day, I worked to support my children. Eventually, I earned both LVN and RN certifications within an exceptionally short time frame of a year. I started my nursing career as a field nurse and quickly advanced into case management., I took on roles such as Director of Nursing and Administrator. These experiences prepared me well for my leadership role at Principle Hospice Service.

Discovering My Passion for Principle Hospice Service
In 2015, I co-founded a home health agency in Texas. However, a Medicare moratorium on new home health agencies forced me to change direction. At first, I was unsure about hospice care. Yet, I quickly found my purpose in supporting patients at the end of life. In 2018, I co-founded Principle Hospice Service to offer peace and comfort to those in need.
